Lindsay Lohan will be spending some time with her terminally ill grandfather during her Easter visit home to Long Island. Michael Lohan, called Lindsay last weekend to inform her that her 73-year-old grandfather, Richard Lohan, is coping with colon cancer that has apparently spread to his lungs. The senior citizen is currently receiving treatment at the North Shore University Hospital in Long Island. Lindsay spoke with her grandpa by telephone Wednesday (March 19th), then boarded a private jet accompanied by friend Samantha Ronson. During her visit, Lindsay will also be splitting time between her divorced parents, Michael and Dina Lohan.
In related News, LINDSAY LOHAN's grandmother MARILYN has been hospitalised in New York after she was involved in a car accident.
Marilyn, mother of the star's father Michael, reportedly lost control of her Nissan after swerving to avoid an oncoming vehicle and crashed into a pole and tree in Woodbury, New York, on Sunday (23Mar08) evening.
Lohan's grandmother was admitted to the Nassau University Medical Center where she was treated for unspecified injuries. She was released later that night.
Meanwhile, Lindsay is reportedly the latest victim of a leaked sex tape. A video still of a woman believed to be Lohan performing a sex act on ex-boyfriend, British playboy Calum Best, appeared on the internet on Thursday (March 20th). London tabloid The Sun claims Best supposedly sent the video to close friends, and it somehow made its way online. Reps for Best and Lohan have yet to respond to the rumors.
